Tayjhanae Langston 

I am an inborn of Bridgeport, Connecticut, who has graduated from the University of Bridgeport, 

in May of 2015, with a BS in Psychology.

I started writing my first version of Loves Hard in August, 2014 but didn’t like the route that the 

book was going in. I had eventually stopped and decided that maybe writing a book wasn’t for 

me especially since I use to hate all my English and Literature classes. I thought that it was a 

little faze that I was going through but the dreams I kept having about the book is what got me to 

keep pushing. Who would have thought that I would get the chance to call myself an author?  

At the age of 22, I not only plan to continue my career in writing, but I am looking forward to 

going back to school until I obtain my Ph.D. in Child Psychology and Marriage Counseling, 

open up my own children’s center and dance school, and start my clothing brand called, Loves 

Hard. In my spare time, I enjoy writing poetry, dancing, eating, being around my friends, 

shopping and going to church. 

I pray that no matter what the obstacles are that may get in the way of accomplishing my goals, I 

continue to keep fighting for them. I received so many “No’s” and was laughed at when I talked 

about everything I wanted to do with my life. I just want the next person who may be struggling 

with their goals to know, that the only person that can stop you from doing what’s best for you, 

is yourself.
